In this column, we attempt to rationalize what Disney’s Frozen II or the marriage of Justin Bieber to Hailey Baldwin has to do with Christian living and lifestyle in view of scriptures such as these. We discuss how Christian morals should guide one’s fashion and how well celebrities have handled the job of role models.
The goal is to recognize the benefits of scientific and technological advances over time and juxtapose that with how society continues to transform while being held to the historicity of the scriptures as the mirror for evaluating the social outcomes. For example, how have Christians managed the seventeen vices listed in Galatians 5: 19-21 against nine virtues listed in verses 22-23 prove themselves as identifiable distinct personalities to be emulated in the community.
